Aventron acquires two wind parks in France, strategic shareholder plans to invest 10 million Swiss francs

Aventron has acquired the 8 MW wind park Ger located in the Normandy from wind park operator Pfalzwind. Aventron also signed a share purchase agreement for the 4 MW Saint-Thégonnec wind park from French developer IEL. Stadtwerk Winterthur, third largest investor of Aventron (Kleinkraftwerk Birseck AG), plans to participate in the next capital increase with 10 millions Swiss francs.

The wind park Ger was built in 2010 and is located in a high wind area 60 km east of the Mont Saint Michel. Consisting of four Enercon E-82 turbines, the project reliably produces renewable energy for many years. The Saint Thégonnec wind park will commence construction in spring 2016. Located 40 km east of Brest in Bretagne, the planned site features as well a high wind resource attractive for power generation. With these two new projects, Aventron strengthens its French wind portfolio to 32 MW and fulfills its 2015 expansion plans.
