aventron’s portfolio in Italy grows to 45 MW after a series of successful transactions
aventron continues its acquisition path in Italy and acquires several solar power plants and a hydropower plant. In June the company bought a 1 MW ground based solar plant in Lombardy followed by the acquisition of a 0.6 MW hydro plant south of Parma in September. Finally, aventron recently signed the sales and purchase agreement for 9.6 MW in solar ground based plants from developer Servel Mera. The facilities are located in the provinces of Campobasso and L’Aquila, and were built in 2011 and 2012 under the Conto Energia 4 and 5 subvention schemes, which guarantee feed-in tariffs for 20 years. The transaction is to be completed before the end of the year. With the purchase of the 18 MW wind park Melfi II in May and the contribution-in-kind of two solar plants of 1 MW each this summer, the aventron portfolio in Italy has increased to 45 MW.
aventron is thus expanding its portfolio in Italy beyond solar to include hydropower plants and wind parks to reach its goal of 100 MW in the country by 2020. With these acquisitions, aventron is now present in six European countries with a total of 340 MW installed capacity. The company currently examines further potential targets. To support the Italian market, aventron has strengthened its asset management team with an experienced professional.
